Curriculum Vitae
Curriculum vitae.
Biomedical scientist with 8+ years at the intersection of virology and data-driven discovery. I am building computational pipelines for large-scale CRISPR screens and single-cell imaging, and translating high-dimensional datasets into mechanistic insight and drug candidates.
Experience
Oct 2025 — now
Senior Scientist
Biohub · Arias Group, San Francisco
Building end-to-end Python tools: a CRISPR-screen visualization dashboard, a 10× faster ZARR conversion pipeline, and a single-cell image-analysis pipeline (Cellpose + Ultrack + ML cell-death classification). Expanding a genome-scale CRISPRi/a platform and investigating broad-spectrum antivirals across herpes- and poxviruses.
Jan — Oct 2025
Scientist II
Biohub, San Francisco
Led mechanistic follow-up on CRISPRi screen hits, identifying a small-molecule retrograde-transport inhibitor with antiviral activity across multiple viruses. Developed a split-fluorescent-protein reporter validated across four flaviviruses and a coronavirus. Oral presentation, GRC Viruses & Cells 2025; poster, ASCB 2025.
Jan 2023 — Jan 2025
Scientist I
Biohub, San Francisco
Developed a standardized CRISPRi platform interrogating >3,000 proteostasis-network genes across three DNA viruses (HSV-1, HCMV, Vaccinia), moving from survival- to quantitative FACS-based readouts. Built a flow-cytometry compound screen; validated a lead antiviral in a skin-organoid model (in collaboration with UC Irvine).
Oct 2021 — Jan 2023
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
University of California, San Francisco
Ran a genome-wide CRISPR screen to identify genes driving sensitivity to a novel anti-cancer drug conjugate (FeADC) targeting KRAS-driven tumors, in collaboration with medicinal chemistry.
2016 — 2020
Ph.D. Researcher
INSERM U1110, Institute of Viral & Liver Disease · Strasbourg University, France
Dual genetic and small-molecule screening that led to an HDV infection inhibitor now in preclinical evaluation. Built cell-line models (lentivirus, CRISPR-Cas9); trained 4 researchers; coordinated a €250K collaboration with Sanofi.
